Called from a 248 area code (Rochester,MI), which is what my cell phone is even though I live in Rochester, MN. Stated they were calling about setting up an appointment for storm damage assessment. Stated they would be working in my street today. Could not explain why they were calling from an out of state area code that just so happened to match my area code, despite being named “Minnesota First.” I can find no evidence of Minnesota First being a roofing company in my area.

A man calling himself “Mr. Gonzales” contacted me by telephone from a number out of Jasper, MN with an “unknown name.” He was offering free roofing inspections due to damage in the area from recent storms. He claimed to be from a company he called “Minnesota First” based out of Mankato, MN. I asked for his contact number and he provided me with the following: 1-800-364-2063. His company did not show up upon an Internet search.
