We saw an ad on Facebook marketplace for a motorhome for sale. Because the price was so low, we instantly thought it was a scam so proceeded cautiously. We reached out to the lady selling it. She responded with a very well written email claiming she went thru a divorce and won the motorhome that has been in storage for awhile. She signed the email that she was a doctor. She owed a lot of rent to the storage facility and therefore was selling it cheap to quickly repay the debt owed to the facility. She informed us that a trucking company was handling the sale of the motorhome for her and we needed to make a reservation with them to purchase the rv. My husband contacted them to set up the sale and they said they would shio the rv to us once they received payment. If we liked it after a 5 day trial period we could keep it. If not we could ship it back on the owners dime and receive a refund that they were “holding”. Well once my husband said that he’d like a physical address where the Rv was located,so that the company financing it could come look at it first, he was ghosted.
