They present themselves as a lender on the phone, which they are not a lender. They get you to allow them to run a "soft credit" check so they can check your "eligibility". However, they have more specific details about your credit report than a soft check should. Their whole intent is to sucker you into a "debt consolidation" program. This is to me a bait and switch scheme with services instead of product.
