I made a google search attempting to change my mailing address and the first link took me to usmoveservices.com.

There was no mention of the amount that I would be charged at all. I have submitted a request to them from the "Contact Us" section of their site requesting them cancel the order and refund the money.

The fact that the dollar amount was not present and they are charging $179.95 for a simple change of address is outrageous.

I could not find a phone number or email contact on the site. There is a Contact Us form only.

I'm cancelling my debit card because now this entity has my old and new address, full name, phone # and debit card information.

I went to change my address and punched everything in and then magically a charge for $179. They have my current address and my future address I am moving too. I’m concerned they will change my address again and steal my mail. Lazy people who don’t contribute to society.

I was trying to change my address on the USPS website I thought but somehow I ended up on one of the scam sites

- San Diego, CA, USA

Website "movemyaddressnow.com" poses as official USPS site for change of address. Entered personal information and credit card payment information to perform change of address. Transaction was processed, but $179.95 charge was processed instead of expected $1.10 payment.

Googled to change my USPS address for a move. Clicked the first link that popped and went through quickly knowing it is $1.05. As soon as I completed the order, I noticed the off website name, received a text with spelling errors, and an email from a fake address. Called the support number and it kept hanging up saying application error. Got a call back from another number (720295****) offering to refund me certain amounts and claiming the fees were for so not call list (which is free). Eventually, she claimed to cancel the charge and the hold was removed from my bank account. She then asked me not to report it to my bank.

I was trying to change my address with USPS and a very similar sight appeared when I searched. It was set up like the USPS site however there is a fine print that says it is not affiliated with USPS that is easy to miss. If you try to click on terms and conditions (like I did after the fact) you will be routed to an error page. You are then taken to a page that asks for your card to verify your identity like the USPS sight. I was immediately charged $99.95 for this phony address change and there was no way to see or agree to being charged that amount.

I went to what I thought was USPS.com to change my address. Well once I put in all my information I received a notification saying I was charged 99.95 for an address change. Then received an email with no information to contact these people to get a refund. I can’t dispute it until it is completed but there’s no guarantee that I’ll even get my money back!

This website was advertised by Google when I searched for the usps change of address websites. It looked fairly straightforward going through the process until it prompted me to pay but did not display an amount. I assumed it was a minimal online fee from the usps, however when I checked my card and realized it charged my card $99, I knew this was a scam.
