The website shows itself as a government agency. I did not realize to look at the website tag as it was the top site shown upon googling for usps address change until the charge was $179 more than the $1.10 expected charge

Tried to change/forward mail address and site says cost $1.10 for the change when i put in credit card it asked to verify thru text or phone and once i put in verifcation code it got stuck on the page. Tried to call the number on the page it got stuck on and they could not answer the call. Shortly after my husband called bc our credit card had alert from someone that $79 was just charged to my credit card and if i had charged $79, i did not, but was going to pay the $1.10 for address move for my son. I think this site is affiliated with USPS but they are only supposed to charge $1.10 also. Just to let you know. Thank you, Glad my credit card company got alerted before we lost more money.

Searched USPS address change and this link popped up. Charged me $79.95 for "mail forwarding". This charge was never mentioned on the site. Their website looks just like the official USPS one, right down to the links to voter registration, etc.

I called the 888 number listed on the charge on my bank account and talked to "Fernando" who said he would remove the charge. Called my bank immediately and will not be charged, but this scam should be shut down.
