Address Genie Reports & Reviews (25)

Hi there,

I was trying to do a USPS official change of address and realized that I accidentally clicked on a sponsored ad for an Online Address Change Wizard. I noticed my mistake once I got to the last page before clicking confirmation and saw there was a $29.99 auto charge included. I did not complete this transaction and closed the tab, yet got an emailed receipt for the transaction. I called the phone number and one of the first things they mention is free refunds, as well as an entire section in the email about refunding the $29.99. This has clearly happened to several people, now I just worry that this company has all of my personal & credit card information

- Brooklyn, MI, USA

Went to usps.com to do an address change and when done I had to enter credit card info. for $1 charge. Without my knowledge Address Genie took over and then charged $40 to my credit card. I cannot find an address nor phone number but did email them right away my displeasure and requested the $40 be refunded. I am on a fixed incone and cannot afford this.

Same exact situation smh people need to get their [censored]ing teeth punched in for stealing

I used this service, looked it over several times had my husband look it over and decided it was a legitimate service. I then completed the requested information when I received the conformation I noticed it said that only my mail was being forwarded I then read on and saw they had taken $40.00 out of my account which I did not authorize. I called the number listed on the website and only got the voice mail, I then voiced my complaint and requested a refund. almost immediately I received an email stating I would receive a full refund minus the $5.00 as stated in the refund policy. I am very concerned that they now have my debt card number. I am also concerned that they are passing themselves off as a service on the USPS and are collecting at least $5.00 from everyone who tries to us their service.

I had never set up mail forwarding before. I googled it and the first thing to pop up had USPS (r) in the link and looked like the website. It charged me $7.50 (I thought it would be $1). Having realized my mistake and reading that there is a refund policy, I immediately emailed them for the refund. I received an email 20 minutes later stating they refunded $2.50 and to leave a comment on the BBB website. I responded telling them to refund the remaining $5 and was met with silence. I tried to call, but the number went to the cell phone of some guy named David, whose voicemail is obviously full and cannot accept messages.

I gave him one last chance to refund me the full amount. Emailing with [email protected] he tells me he is just a lowly support rep when his name is the one from the cell phone voicemail for the entire "company".

This isn't worth my time to pursue the actual money back, but this scam must be reported.
