Adecco wanted me to deposit a printed check into my checking account. I called a bank professional. A bank can not physically accept a check that has been printed on a piece of regular paper. 100% a scam

On 02/01/2023 I received a text message from 308-304-3121. The text message said: Good day (and my name) I am Matt thank you for your application for the position of a REMOTE BILINGUAL CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT for Adecco Group. We picked you out of a large number of applicants on Indeed as we were won over by your creativity on your resume, your specialist expertise and asked me if I was interested and I responded that I was. He asked me to download an online app to facilitate documentation and the app was called Signal Private Messenger. And then he asked me to contact Ms. Gordana Landen by sending a text up her profile on Signal with the phone 1-925-709-4580. I did that and Gordon proceed to do an interview and the next day she sent me a letter via email with a job offer along with all the job benefits. The email came from: [email protected]. Then they sent me a check for $2583.20 and told me that I would bet using that money to purchase the equipment. At that moment I thought it might be a scam so I kept playing their game. They asked me to deposit the check and to send them screen shoot. I sent them an old screen shoot that says :Your deposit has been received and will be reviewed during normal business hours. Once reviewed, you will received notification and regular check hold may apply. Then she asked me to let her know as soon as the funs are available. 4 hours later I advised her the funds were available and she asked me for another screen shoot. I refused and asked what to do with that money. Then Gordana said: You will be sending the funds to our online vendor for the purchase and installation of your working software, this items will be shipped to your home address within 2-3 business day starting from next week Monday. Then she asked if I was familiar with the electronic payments transfers platform/apps called Apple Pay and Zelle. I said yes. Then she ask to make a payment of $1,000 via Zelle to the following info below: Name: Paris Lewis. Email: [email protected]. Memo: Office Supplies. Provide me with a screenshot confirmation once sent. I asked what will happen with the rest of the money and the reply was: "You are to send the fund in batches". At that point I didn't continue with the conversation.

The check was from North Fayette Township; at 400 North Branch Rd, Oakdale, PA 15071. the Bank Huntington Bank Operating in Columbus, OH 43287
