We received 3 different calls to 3 family members, and were left voice mails. The message was intended for my husband regarding him as well as our property. It urged us to call the issuing office with a reference #. If we failed to contact them back, they would contact our local jurisdiction. He called, and I called. We were told this was from AFS Associates, and it was about a payday loan from EZ CORP/ EZ MONEY. I was told it was taken out in 2013. We know nothing about this company, and this lady named Nora Campbell, won’t tell me anything more than the amount that they are requiring. If i don’t pay that amount that they are offering, we will have to go to court, and pay $33700. I called EZ CORP, and was told neither my husband or myself has ever had an account with their company. Also, they didn’t do payday loans in Michigan at that time

The scammer is contacting family, and saying that a line of credit 12 years ago was taken out and never paid off. That they have sent us mail and did not. Knew all the individuals information and threatened to take to court. Said we were being hostile when I said we needed written prof. They sent a contract to pay with a due date of the next day. I said a lawyer would need to review it and they said I should get one. Had no proof of any debt and also CT statue of limitations

says 6 years when I said that they said I didn’t know what I was speaking about.

The company called my parents and stated I was a subject of an ongoing investigation. When I called the provided phone number I was threatened with charges being files and getting served by the local county due to nonpayment of payday from 2014. They demanded payment immediately or else I would be on a list to be served by the sheriffThe company called my parents and stated I was a subject of an ongoing investigation. They demanded payment immediately or else I would be on a list to be served by the sheriff.

They proceeded to tell me my wages could be garnished. I did research and multiple people received these threatening phone calls, these people have to stopped this is not ok.

This 877-394-0439 left a voicemail for me, a cousin, and my sisters ex husband for me. Same exact voicemail for each place. Said I owed money from a quick loan over 6 years ago. They had all of my information and almost got me to give them money. I had to cancel my credit card. They said I was going to be served papers for small claims court. I spoke to a woman named Casey. She emailed me a fake contract to sign. I uploaded a screenshot here.
