My mother received a voicemail from a guy named Michael Castin saying he was with Bechmann and Associates a litigation debt collector. He had my name, last four of my social and date of birth. He recited this whole legal speech about a credit card I had years ago and that they could settle for $1500 and it would stop all legal action. He said I could go to the California Seceretary of State website and lookup his company to verify. Said I had 24 hrs. to respond and pay. Something felt very off and so I looked at my credit report and no claim has been filed with this credit card with his company.
