first call was from a processing service stating for me to call (866) 408-1348 which was Leighton and associates and I spoke to a Noah Rodriquez he was very nasty and rude and became belligerent when I told him I did not know of the debt which mind you was over 20 years old tried to say they were using the tolling agreement I told him I know nothing of that. He became aggressive and verbally abusive to me. He told me I was poor and had no money and all they want me to do is pay my debt which he stated was 15,441.99 but would settle for 6,157.00 I would not give an info. it was after about 2 weeks of this back and forth. he then told me it would go to arbitration. a week later I got a call to call (888) 803-7340 which was MB group I was starting to really believe this was a real thing. they sent me a validation of debt and a payment authorization form to sign and fill out with bank info, which was not on any kind of letter head paper it was like a generic word document. They said they would settle for 3500.00. I finally contacted original creditor (the company that bought out the original creditor when they filed bankruptcy) They are looking into this for me to see if it is a valid debt and a legitimate company.
