I received multiple voice messages from Remedy Mediation Solutions telling me I owed an outstanding debt from over 10 years ago for a payday loan. The company was also calling my dad's cell and leaving him messages for me as well. I call the number back given in the voice message was 404-282-6492. In order to stop the calls to my father I called the number back and they representative told me they work for the county I live in and that Docket number XXXXXX was going to have a warrant served for my arrest for Financial fraud. I don't remember taking out a payday loan but I'm trying to clean up some recent debts to build my credit worthiness back up after Moving cross-country for a new job. So I gave them my credit card info and set up $100 payments every two weeks. They withdrew $100 but after I got off the phone with him, I googled the company name and found that it's a scam. Also, the statute of limitations on the collection of a debt in the state I reside in is 6 years. I received another voice message today staying " Good morning Ms. XXXX, this is Jeremy call out of the mediation department from XXXX county docket number XXXXX. I do see that we set up a payment plan and the first payment was on Nov 8." I reported my credit card lost to my bank and they closed that CC and are sending me a new one. They still got $100 from me though.

I received a phone call regarding an arbitration attempt through a payday loan that I had previously used back in 2012. They had my old address my social security number as well as my employer information from that time frame. They claimed that I never fulfilled my payday loan payments and I was to be going through arbitration and soon to be going to have to deal with court cases in the county which I reside. I asked for more information regarding and all they could say was I signed a contract and I failed to make payments therefore I have to go through arbitration and will have to go to court if I do not pay this one-time fee over the phone or a 1200 fee in 48 hours. They also had my old banking account information. It all seemed extremely strange so I asked to speak with a supervisor his name was David Scott and he reiterated all of the same points that the initial phone call operator stated prior. Her name was Stacy Davis. I did not pay any thing over the phone as it was uncomfortable. I asked for information regarding how to follow up with this so-called payday loan that I never fulfilled however they said they do not give out that information so I basically had to either pay their fee or now have to go through a court case upwards of $6,000 with included court costs and fees and arbitration. I do not believe this is an authentic company or business because I could not find a website or specific contact information online outside of the phone number they called me from or the email they sent me with their email address as well as physical address written within the email. I proceeded to look up the physical address that was attached in the email they sent me and as far as I can tell it is a vacant office building in Atlanta Georgia with no further information regarding their name or company.

I was told if I don’t pay I would have to pay court fees.

Victim received an email allegedly from Remedy Mediation Solution noting that he owed for a EzCorp/EzMoney loan. They had personal information for him (including last four SSN). He was told the company would use Chex Systems to freeze all his accounts if he didn't pay immediately. The amount owed was $700.00, but if he paid $352.00 today they'd waive the rest. He did contact them, and an Olivia Taylor called back from the number 218 604-0554. He did agree to pay, however, he immediately cancelled his CC after realizing this might be a scam.

I received a call from a company who identified themselves as Remedy Mediation Services who stated that I had taken out a loan from EZCorp/EZMoney for 590.00 and as I had not paid, EZ Corp was filing a suit (through Remedy Mediation Services) for malicious intent to defraud a company. They said a summons would be issued for my arrest, etc. I know that i did not borrow money from EZ Corp but the Remedy Mediation rep said they had my signature on the loan papers. They also had banking information, my address and where I worked. They also called family members.. They insisted that if I wanted this to be settled I would have to pay now or set up monthly payments. In the meantime i called EZ Corp who confirmed that they had not lent me money. They also said that they were getting tons of calls from people like me who had been contacted by Remedy Mediation. I called Remedy Med back and told them this and they just continued to use intimidation tactics on me, even telling me that my county clerk would be receiving a filing on me by Friday. Really scared me. They should be shut down.

Several texts and phone calls made to my relatives. I called and spoke with Nancy Jackson who claims to be providing mediation on a payday loan from 2010, prior to my chapter 13. Nancy went on to tell me that payday loans are included in bankruptcies, they are not subject to any statute of limitation, and she did not have to adhere to FDCPA. She also claimed since I wanted documentation in writing, I would be served. She asked for my Schedule F from my bankruptcy but I think I’ll hang on to that until I am served because I will then sue under the FDCPA. This company is horrible and apparently, not well educated in the law.

Since August myself and various family members have been receiving text messages and voicemails from a company claiming to be Remedy Mediation Services. They claim I owe $666 for a Payday Loan from 2006. I’ve never taken out a Payday loan and have pulled my credit reports to check for anything suspicious or possibly outstanding. When I question them and ask for proof of this “debt” they hang up on me. I’ve now called and demanded they stop communication completely with me or anyone else they have been reaching out to “in an attempt to reach” me and again, they hang up on me.

They sent me a text message and I called because I do owe people but if you ain't the entity I owe then you ain't the entity I finna deal with. I'm sorry, I know bad English. So when I don't give them my information they hang up on me. Lies! I call back and they play on the phone like they haven't spoken to me before and I'm like stop playing on my phone you know who this is. They proceed to ask me the same questions and I'm like I'm not giving you any information. They hang up on me again and at this point now I'm gonna turn into the harasser because you not are not going to keep hanging up on me. I call back and my question is who is this and where are you located. They continue to hang up on me and I continue to call back. Then a lady gets on the phone and says I'm chex systems and they have transferred you over to me. So now they really are playing games. Why would a debt collector transfer a call to ChexSystems when this has nothing to do with them. She ends up hanging up on me because I want to know who they are and why they are calling me trying to get my information and who in their right mind would verify their personal information with people who won't identify what business it is I have with them. I keep calling back after she starts hanging up. She proceeds to tell me I'm 70 years old and I'm stupid and I laugh because I'm no where near 70 my momma is in her 70's. I keep calling back she tells me she is going to block me. I keep calling and she finally says you are blocked. I call back not blocked. Then a man answers same spiel. I want to know who this company is and where you are located. He gives me partial information. Mind you once I am satisfied (12 calls later) I stop calling them and look them up so that I can report them to the better business bureau like I told them I would.

I know this was long but they don't have the right to harass me with these lies and misrepresentations. I laughed throughout the entire process because I knew they were lying about the whole thing. I don't owe anyone anything for $1,207 . I never took out a loan for such an amount that I didn't pay back and if I didn't why haven't I received any correspondence from whomever I would have borrowed the money from. The address that they used (along with my maiden name) is so old it would have become a zombie debt at this point and you madam and sir are out of line. CONTACT ME AGAIN!

They threatened to freeze my accounts and suspend my benefits if i didn't pay the debt. This is a debt that they said they couldn't say what it was for and that i would be receiving a notice in 2 days and that they would be filing a suit in my county.

They said I owed $2,600 still from 2019 from a EZ CORP/EZ MONEY loan. They said i made 2 payments, but I had a balance and it was going to go to courts if i didn't pay $688 today to get this paid today. She also stated that if it goes to court, there would be a judgement against me, and my social security number would be flagged for any future financial endeavors.

Did anything further ever come of this?

Received calls and texts to myself and family members. Finally annoyed I called myself several times only to be told there’s a dispute with a company I’ve never heard of and to be hung up on several times when I declined to confirm any of my personal information to strangers.

My parents were receiving text messages asking for me to call a number 470-781-3155. They had both received this text so I called. They said I was being charged with "bank fraud and breach of contract" for an unpaid loan with a payday service several years ago. They had the last four digits of my social and an address from a previous city I lived in around the alleged time of the dispute. They said I could either go to court to dispute the charges or make a payment before 9/7/23 to settle the balance and not go to court. They said they had tried to contact me by email, but the email they had was not mine. They said they tried to visit my address "before COVID" but I have not lived there for over 6 years. They said they were no longer allowed to "reach out to people in person." They could not tell me the exact provider that set the claim and sent me an email with the claim which I have copied below and a form link to sign which I have not opened.

Our records show that your previous account was left with an outstanding balance that is currently in the amount of $1,021.00.

In order to prevent further collection activity on this account, you must remit payment immediately. You can contact our offices today to negotiate a settlement amount to resolve your past due account. This requires your prompt attention; continued disregard of this matter is not advised.

Due to a contractual obligation you signed with the financial institution you were obligated to leave any accounts with the financial institution at a zero balance, in order to not become a candidate for Chex Systems. A Chex Systems submission can impact your ability to open any new bank account or have debit card privileges.

If you have any questions, or would like additional information regarding your delinquent account, please contact our offices immediately.

This is an attempt to collect a debt. Any information obtained will be used for that purpose. This communication was sent by a debt collector from a professional debt collection agency.
