My husband and I were looking for a Beagle puppy and came across a website called Bingbeagles.com. They responded by saying they had several 11-week old puppies for sale and showed photos of all. We picked one we liked named “Cooper” and decided that was the one for us. The email was from Alex Marissa {[email protected]) All emails and texts were signed “Jared and Erica”. They said the puppy would come with health certificate, 1 -year health guarantee, puppy crate, playing toys, sample foodstuffs for the first few days, a puppy kit starter and a hand guide that will help us on the basics of taking good care of the puppy. Everything looked quite legitimate! The puppy would be flown from San Antonio, Tx and delivered to our front door. We wanted the puppy delivered on 9/14/19. We decided to purchase and were told the only way we could pay was thru the Zelle banking app. We did this through our Bank of America account. The cost of the puppy was $500 plus $220 for shipping. This was transacted on August 13, 2019. The Zelle email address the money was sent to was [email protected] The Zelle name was “Leye”. After I paid I was told to send the scammers a screen shot of the receipt. The criminals told us after payment and closer to shipping date we would be notified by the shipping company, etc. All this was done via email and text…and I only spoke with a male once and he had an accent and not good English and the call was brief saying he got our payment. I became suspicious after texting to ask for more pictures of the puppy and his birth date and what airlines he would be sent on, etc….BUT…no response!! When I checked the address they gave me in San Antonio..it was bogus! Then I investigated puppy scams and discovered that Bingbeagles.com is a pet scam. Lesson learned…I don’t expect to get my money back, I just want this website closed down so others will not be duped!!
