I was looking for a mini dachshund to purchase. I found a site on line and inquired about the dog. After emailing back and forth for a couple of days I decided to purchase the puppy. I sent the asking price of $800 and waited as the supposed seller got papers together and set up shipping. I was told that the pup was being shipped with a company called USMIexpress. everything seemed to be going fine until I received an email from the shipper that there was a delay and the puppy was in Kansas City at the airport there and she needed an anti pressure vaccine as well as an electronic crate. Red flags immediately went up as I know there is no such thing as an Anti Pressure vaccine, as well as needing to have a new crate. They said it would be $290 for the vaccine and $2100 for the crate. They would refund 97% of the money when the pup was delivered. They have been emailing all day now, as well as the breeder trying to get me to send the money so they can deliver the pup. The company shows up on a website as looking pretty official, but when you call the phone number listed you cannot connect with them.Unfortunately I seem to be out the $800 I sent originally.
