I was then asked to pay using Cash App of $650 + $150 for shipping and the dog would be shipped Monday (the order was on Friday) from Georgia. I paid. Over the weekend my wife wanted pics of the parents and I emailed to get them sent. I was told he deleted the pictures. So I asked him to just take some picture with his camera and send them. His response was sort of rude and he said when his wife got home from her trip he would see if she had any. I immediately thought, if you bred this puppy why wouldn't you have the parents and be able to snap a few photos and send them.
My spidey senses went up and I looked up the area code, it is a Cleveland OH area area code. OK, so maybe they moved to Georgia. Then I did a WHOIS on the website and found out it had been created on 7/22/20, just 9 days before our "purchase". Then I got a text from Animal Logistics saying the shipment was on the way from South Dakota but to respond to the email. The email came and said I needed to pay $1500 refundable crate deposit. I had found a site about pet scams in the meantime and anticipated this as the next step. I texted the "shipper" and told them nice scam and blocked the number. I am out the $800 and my kids are heartbroken. And I wouldn't call my wife a happy camper either. No. I would not.
