This is a typical pet scam. The seller has a very real-looking website and has extensive details regarding the dog for adoption. He even provided us a legal purchase contract. After he received payment, we got an email from a fake shipping company requiring an additional $1500 refundable deposit for an airline-approved pet carrier to deliver the dog. After asking for a refund, we never heard from the seller again.
