I sent a request to find out more about a specific puppy they had on their website. They sent me a text message the next morning saying it was available. I requested pictures and videos and they sent me them. They sent a sales contract and requested I send them money through Zelle or Apple Pay before moving forward with the process. The next morning when preparing to ship the animal I receive an email from the courier requesting more funds for a thermal electronic crate. I proceeded to call the breeder to ask questions about this. The breeder never picked up but the courier called me directly after asking me to send the money before they can ship the pet. This is a known scam that has been directed towards innocent people. The next step would most likely be to send additional funds to apply pet insurance before being able to shop the puppy, thankfully we stopped sending them money before reaching that step but they are scamming people into sending them money and hurting people who are genuinely looking for a pet.
