Said he was with ADT and that I would get free ADT system if I let him put ADT signs in my yard. I asked for his business card and a brochure. He wouldnt give me anything. Just showed some rinky dink State of Utah card on a lanyard that was probably fake. Definitely a scammer.

There was a man that came to our door claiming to be from ADT. He said we should have received a call about this appointment. I had no knowledge of this appointment. He also knew that I had just purchased the house. I don't know if this man was part of ADT or someone looking to case the place. He never gave me any information to confirm he was with the company. He just had a binder with ADT on it. It was either a scam or a poorly run business.

RECEIVED CORRESPONDENCE IN THE MAIL AND I HAVE ADT SECURITY AND THE LETTER LOOKED LIKE IT WAS FROM ADT AND IT SAID IT WAS A STATUS REPORT AND THE MONITORING IS IN ACTIVE AND TO CALL THIS NUMBER TO REACTIVATE, HURRY OFFER EXPIRES 12/31/2018. I CALLED THE NUMBER THAT I HAVE FOR ADT AND THEY SAID IT WAS A SCAM.
