The above collection agency in June of this year tried to collect money due to a Advance Cash payday loan company. As I did not recall receiving a payday loan from this company, I gnored the request. Since last week they have been threatening me with prison time for wire fraud. Not knowing what to do, I made 2 payments of $450.00 with a American Express Serve Care(which I still have but the image would be too large to send) that they recommened. Now they want an additional $743.00 in attorney fees, which no letter from this company was sent to me and no mention of attorneys were mention, all they said in the email was attorney fees. They will not send me a copy of the orginal contract, they will not give the date in which this loan was taken out, and they are still threatening me with prison time if this fee is not paid. by October 30th, 2022. I was in agreement to pay by electronic transfer from my bank but they insist on the American Express Card.I called the Irving Texas Police Department to see in fact if this Jerry Smith (name he used) does exist, the Police person said it sound like a scam. There is no website and the address he used 1231 Greenway Dr Irving TX does not include his business because I checked.
