I received a text message offering to pay me to get my car wrapped with Dr. Pepper. I received a check in the US Mail for over $2000, w/a return address of 105 Reynolds Rd, Franklin TN. The letter says to deposit the check.

The scam was selling advertising spots on reusable bags. They played multiple companies off of each other and a couple for certain bought into the scam. Konect Media had pulled this scam fall of 2022 and first of 2023 all across Canada. They had a website, phone numbers, actual contacts from local business' who were going to buy the 10,000 bags. Originally contacted by email about advertising offer then multiple phone calls and emails after. When things were not adding up (unprofessional responses, no draft mockups, taking months to have final product) business' attempted to cancel the ad, as well as, the promise of a few hundred bags to sell at local businesses, they threatened to only return half of the payment and promised a delivery of 5 months later. By month 3, everything was removed, disconnect and gone as if they never existed. Filed a RCMP fraud report on this company and credit card company has not been able to contact the company as well. By early 2023 other businesses and charities across the country went to the media to report on the scam and warn others.
