Just finished a SKYPE interview with these folks that was comparable to Ms. Jenkins. I’m glad I checked and will not continue on with them. I got concerned when they wanted to send me a check for equipment. Hopefully this helps others to avoid a money laundering scam

Thank you for posting this entry I have been offered a job with them for a work at home position. Everything you have written has been my experience thus far I am only on the process with Skype. I won’t go any further since you posted this useful information

Type of a scam Employment

I received a text from ******* ******* stating that there were three positions with AFC Group Holdings available to interview with: data entry, administrative assistant and another office job. He told me me to get on Skype and his Hiring Team would tell me more about the jobs. I got on Skype and he said search for a **** ******* ** *****. I did so and she chatted w/me about the job. I asked her if she would video call me and she said she was hearing impaired and needed to do it via chat. By all means, she spoke about the job, description, skills needed, pay and the entire job hire process. It was for a remote job. She stated that she would relay my answers to the hiring team to further evaluate. She said just follow her instructions and she would be available at 8AM each morning for me to get updates, tasks, and further directions to get started. A ***** ** ********* sent me the Hiring Agreement the next day that had company letterhead and all the details about working with them like a traditional organization does. ******* ** ***** stated that the company would send me a MacBook and a check to pay for the accounting software, printer and the like for the position. A tracking number and FedEx envelope was provided and received. Mrs. ******* ** ***** was told that I wanted the HR Dept. or *** ********* to call me personally to confirm their legitimacy before I would proceed forward. *** ********* did call and said everything was on the up and up and that he had worked for AFC Group Holdings LTD for a year and **** *****, for six months. He assured me the position was real and they could be trusted. They said the Skype chat was being monitored and recorded. It was all very official sounding of course. I was told to send **** ***** and the accounting dept. a photo of the front and back of the cashiers check sent/received and the teller deposit receipt. I was told I would get the vendor to order my supplies through. **** ***** told me to send through Zeller $500 to a India Marr who would be sending me the MacBook. It did NOT work through Zelle. **** ***** told me to go to Wal-Mart and she would then tell me what software or materials to pick up. I got to Wal-Mart and messaged her through Skype mobile that I was there. **** ***** then told me to pick up two $1,000 gift cards and a $500 gift card, scratch off the back and tell her the numbers on the back. I immediately replied back it was a SCAM and was not going to participate any longer. I emailed *** ********* and the accounting Dept. and told them to stop payment on the check and to terminate any further contact with me. I called my LifeLock and my back and spoke to the Fraud Dept. and made sure protections were in place for my identity, accounts etc.,.. Be aware when job hunting!!! AFC Group Holdings LTD and or a shadow copy cat is a SCAM!

This is the same thing that is going on with my experience right now. I am being interviewed on Skype and I had to find out if this was a scam. Thank you so much for your report because they seemed to have a legit website and everything. Did they try and make you pay something to get started? Some of your stuff is blocked out so I wasn’t completely sure
