Type of a scam Online Purchase
Then, with Shop Pay, you must 'Delete Your Account'- which deletes all account info, so you can't close your account, you only can delete it. When trying to delete the account'- which is what Shop Pay requires, you can't get to this ability on the browser, only the app, and even on the app, that is difficult to find!- The Affirm representative didn't think it was possible to close the Shop Pay account but then the Shop Pay representative said it was. I finally figured it out by phone both logged in on my website browser and on the app, but when you get a full screen message that says, "Your account has successfully been deleted," and you screen shot that and then 'x' out of that screen, it freezes and then a red error message says 'Graph QL: Error,' but the message disappears so you can't screen shot that and you're not sent any confirmation for 24hours. The reason I am closing both accounts is because I am nearly certain that I have seen more than the allotted amount of debits per transaction made with Affirm or Shop Pay and that there is some sort of connection with my bank account and these online businesses. I just spent over an hour on the phone with Affirm and Shop Pay and they still could not give me any confirmation of my 'deleted account' - but I honestly would not like to delete my account until I have proof that I was not taken advantage of by them or whoever is posing as them on my bank debit statements. Something cannot be going right or well with these two companies and it does not seem legal or legit what they are doing with customers and in even giving customers the right to pay off immediately and close their account. I'm sure I am not the only one with this complaint.
