I thought Affordable Rentals LLC in Columbus, OH was legit. I completed an application to see if I was approved for housing. I had to pay $45 via cashapp. I was approved for housing. I requested this home in Warrensville, OH which had an upcoming viewing. I was told there were a few potential renters attending and if I wanted to take it off the market before the viewing I could pay the security deposit. I tried to pay the $1100 deposit but cashapp wouldn’t allow me to send that much. We went back and forth trying to send the money. They had to keep creating new accounts because my bank wasn’t allowing the transaction. I sent a smaller amount, $550, and it went through. But the other half wouldn’t go through. After calling and texting them repeatedly, they eventually stopped responding. I told them this was unprofessional and it seems like more of a scam. They blocked my calls and blocked me off social media.
