On Facebook Messenger, I was contacted by someone by the name of BJ - who may or may not have been my close friend. She asked if I had received my 'Gift' yet. I didn't know what she was talking about - she told me to call the number listed. This was a gift for being disabled. It was from the Census Bureau. No letter or call was received prior to this message. I called the number on my iPhone and promptly received a message asking me how I got this number. I responded that a 'friend' gave me her number. She then gave me the message that I should follow the instructions & I would get my gift as long as I was on the list. Well, I was on the list. If I paid them X amt of $$$ then I would be given X amt of $$$. I said no thanks and said goodbye. My 'friend' kept insisting I should but I ran her personal information about her that she could not verify - so I knew she was not really my friend but an impostor. All this took place on my iPhone for about an hours worth of time.
