A friend, who I have known for 50 years, recommended him to me. She was a lifelong friend of my deceased ex-wife. She didn't want to discuss her passing. That was the first clue that it wasn't her. The next was a picture of money in a box from FedEx. John forwarded the same picture to me, exactly. On Facebook. He took control of my Facebook page for 4 days to confirm my identity. I got mad at him when he demanded thousands of dollars for a free grant. I swore at him in an email, then he turned me in to Facebook for violating community standards. I was banned from Facebook for 30 days. I didn't swear on Facebook, only on email, calling him an m…f…i think he impersonated my friend to contact me, and then got my personal info to steal from me, and then tried to get thousands of dollars from me. i didnt give him any money, but it was a long, days long struggle to get him to leave me alone. and i havent been able to contact my family through facebook for all this time. i dont have any other way to talk to them.
