Just like the dozen or so other reviews on here: I was contacted via text message for a Remote Data Entry position with AGY Therapeutics. The company did not have a huge online footprint, and neither did the woman reaching out to me - Heather Elkins. The job description she emailed over was very vague but had the hallmark, "training pay is $20/hr then you'll make $27/hr". The nail in the coffin was the final email received telling me to complete their online assessment asap and an employee form. I assume then I would have been offered the "job", but decided to cut my loses there.

I was originally contacted by text. I have applied for several jobs in the last week. I was asked to email a copy of my resume and then complete an assessment and employment application online. The website provided looks legit but there was not a lot of information available. Currently my virus protection on my home computer is out. I cannot afford to be attacked or hacked.

Heather Elkins reached out by text first, then by email, stating $20/hr during training and $27/hr after that. She sent a link for the company (which may be a legitimate company) and an assessment and an employee application form--which asked for my bank info for "payroll purposes". I entered 'private' and did not give out my bank info. I am guessing that next they will want more info, and possibly a check from me, so they can send equipment. The email seems legitimate except there is no phone number at bottom beneath Heather's title. The assessment also had many misspellings and grammatical errors--which seems odd for a professional company and data entry position. AGY Therapeutics may not be involved and just be the cover company.........to make the job offer seem real.
