Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
company. I was emailed for a job interview, and upon passing the interview, I was sent a fake check to deposit to fund my purchases of “equipment for the job”. Then, I was quickly requested to send money to a strange recipient via Cash app, and since my Cash app deposit was maxed, I mailed the rest of the money via postal orders (including the attached customer receipts) at my post office. It wasn't until after this I realized this was a scam. I have intercepted the USPS delivery, so I am hoping the $2000 from postal orders will return to me. But, the Cash app funds have been difficult for me to recover despite my efforts.
