I booked an Airbnb for London, England for August 15-21, 2024. We left August 21st and the host completed a review on Augst 23 that we respected her home and were great guests. One week later the host sent a request for payment of $551 claiming damage to her walls in the kitchen and living room that the cleaner found the day we left, 2 days prior to giving a review that we respected her home. The photos she submitted showed what appear to be minor scuffs on the walls in the hallway, stairway and entryway. Not at all consistent with the locations she claims these were found, not consistent with actual "damage" but instead normal wear and tear, and not time stamped with dates to suggest this was caused during our stay. This is not damage that we caused. I declined the payment and explained these points to Airbnb in the appeal process along with the fact that her inconsistencies suggest a pattern of dishonesty which violates their host policy of dishonest claims, as well as the fact that normal wear and tear is not covered under damage protection. It was then sent to Airbnb for review at which point they determined that the host had enough evidence to suggest we were responsible for the damage. They were upholding the charge, but reduced the charge to $380 and have scheduled my card to be charged in 2 days. I requested copies of the photos timestamped and was not allowed that information. Additionally, I have three separate documents from either the host, or from Airbnb throughout the process with the host requesting different amounts of money in her request for damage payment. There was also a guest review the week after our stay that states they were charged for damage they didn't cause. This again suggests a pattern of dishonest, fraudulent practices that Airbnb is continuing to allow at the expense of innocent and unsuspecting customers.

Booked through Airbnb and was charged $588.04 and the host cancelled. Later same listing was being listed by another host charging $688,00

After doing my own research, I learned the company is not real and has scammed several others out of money. I have online statements to confirm.
