I found discount airlines tickets on best ticket fare for 3 adult tickets. After booking my tickets I did not receive a confirmation email for my purchase. I contacted best ticket fare and was told it takes about 30 mins to process and I will receive a call back. So I waited and received a call back, when I received the call I was then told of all the restrictions that come with the discount ticket purchase, from seating to no carry on, and possibility of getting bumped to a different day to depart. I explained, that should have been closed when purchasing tickets and I was told it was, but I saved screen shots of my order and it was not. I told the person since my card has not been charged I want to cancel my request. I was told I can not get a refund but I they can look for another flight option that would work for me. The next offer was way more than I planned on spending, but my dilemma was I needed to travel to visit my dad who had surgery, so I was rushing to get a flight and the red flags were not going off. After reviewing multiple options I agreed to an alternative flight. When I was charged, I was charged with 2 transactions. One stating from the airlines and another from a travel agency. When I asked why the charges were split I was told due to the amounts the transaction would not go through. I received an e-receipt that had showed the purchase from the airlines tfor 3 tickets but it did not have a dollar amount. I verified with the airlines that I had actual tickets and I did. At that point, I got ready for my trip. When, checking into the airlines I had the option to download my receipt. Me receipt did not have the full amount of what I was told the tickets would cost. Shortly after looking into this I received a call from Best Ticket Fare's booking dept to sent me my e-boarding passes. I explained that I already received my boarding passes when I checked in online but explained the situation regarding the cost of tickets. I asked for the petson to explain to me what the additional cost was for that I was charged. I was told it was for taxes. I explained that the receipt from the airlines accounted for the taxes. The person put me on hold for about 10mins and hung up on me. I sent emails to best ticket fare disputing the charges and got multiple responses back none of then where making sense. I disputed the additional charge billed to my credit card with the credit card company. When returning from my trip, I continue to dispute the additional charges. I asked for best ticket fare to explain what the additional cost was for and why it came from a travel agency. I also explained that I could not find this travel agency when googling the information. I asked for a receipt to explain the additional cost. I was told the travel agency was a merchant affiliated with them and I asked to have documentation showing the affiliation. I was told that was confidential information. I continued to be vocal that they scam people out of money and I will be reporting them to the BBB. After all that, I received 2 email responses that the additional charges will be credit back to me and it may take 5-20 days to receive and 2 days later I received the credit. I will never use them again and I do not understand how they can continue to operate as a business. If you google this company there's other people with the same experience but not all of them may have been as persistent with addressing the company to receive a credit.

4/23/2024 used website to order plane ticket

4/23/2024 received email saying my flight was confirmed

4/23/2024 received 2 phone calls from "John" telling me flight was standby and that I could no take a carry on but he;d fix it for double the original price. I requested email as I was driving to work in a snowstorm.He called again while I was working. After work received email confirming price doubling for carry on a actual reservation

4/24/2024 They called 3 times when phone was off

4/24/2024 I called airline I was not on standby or on flight

4/24/2024 cancelled credit card that I used
