Type of a scam Online Purchase
I found a flight at a good price and reserved two seats, paying with my credit card. The transaction was listed as pending, and shortly after I received a phone call form them, saying the flight was not available, but a very much more expensive one was. When I asked the representative, "Dorian", to cancel my reservation, he tried to get me to set a price point that would be acceptable. I repeated my demand that the reservation be cancelled several times, before he finally hung up on me.
I missed several red flags: I had never seen this company listed before, I was unable to access them directly at the website given, the birthday information was not presented in an American format, the taxes and fees were not broken down.
I followed up with my credit card company, cancelling the card.
