I called Southwest Airlines to correct a spelling mistake. Southwest contracts with this person. This person dropped the call made on the Southwest line and calls back on the Bucketlist leisure line. They then claim that Southwest will charge $300 for the spelling correction. When you tell them you will cancel the flight, they tell you the credit will be issued in the misspelled name and you will not be able to use it. They then know and tell you to confirm the emails you get, and voila, you’re out $300. I called Southwest back after and they said the name change should be free. I called my Southwest credit card (chase) and they will not refund it.
