This experience began with the purchase of a blender on Amazon through the seller, Airpher. The product broke after a few uses. I contacted the company and they could not provide a replacement product, but offered a 65% refund in the form of an Amazon Gift Card, which I accepted. Then they rescinded their offer without explanation and instead offered a 45% refund, which I accepted. They said that I could expect the gift card in 24-48 hours. After 20 days without any follow up, I reached out to inquire on the status of the refund and received an email stating that they had changed their mind and provided no reason. I started looking into the company and found some suspicious activity.
Initially I wanted to report Airpher to the ScamPulse.com to assist me with the refund, but was surprised that a search on the ScamPulse.com complaint website did not find the company. I went to their web page and could not find any locality information, so I used their live chat to ask where they were located. First they said they were outside of the US. When I asked where, they would not tell me, but they said the items ship from China. When I asked why they have a US phone number listed as their company contact on their website, they responded that they are a US company. They refused to provide me any type of address. But most suspiciously and why I decided to report a possible scam instead is that they stated unprovoked that they are a legitimate company that pays taxes and that they have all the certifications to prove it. That was a very odd response to me asking for their location, so I hope you will investigate.
I have email correspondences and screenshots of the suspicious chat with the company that I am happy to share.
