I have a Dell PC with ProSupport. I went to Dell's website when my machine would not turn on to chat with a Dell Pro Support technical support specialist. Somehow I got redirected to a company called AJ PC Tech Services LLC. My computer cooled down and I was able to turn it on. But who ever I was speaking to (had an accent) told me I had software problems on my Dell PC and my ProSupport Service did not cover software but only hard ware. I kept disagreeing with him nevertheless he said I had to pay $199.99 for 6-months of 'coverage' to get my machine fixed. He said it would take an hour. I gave him my credit card information, paid, and let him use my machine for an hour. But it felt wrong. This morning I had a chat with a real Dell Technician and he confirmed that I was covered by Dell for software and hardware issues 24/7. I called my credit card company (CitiCards) and they have refunded my $199.99 payment but I had to cancel the card and will have to change it on places that automatically deduct from it. They also claimed an association with PayPal. The Dell actual technician didn't think they had hurt, implanted a virus, taken anything from my PC but I do not know what he did and I am concerned.

This happened on 1/7. The fake company (I could not find a phone number only an email address) lists their website as http://www.ajpctechservices.com. They wanted me to use my PayPal account but I did not but their receipt shows PayPall in their name. The 'service' I purchased was Receipt No: 3721-8087-7311-1453. They say, "Please keep this receipt number for future reference. You'll need it if you contact customer service at AJ PC Tech Services LLC or PayPal."
