I filled out an interest for what I thought was an advertisement for a Starbuck’s campaign. Using my vehicle with their logo, for 6 weeks or so, earning $500. a week. Never heard a word, until I rec’d a check for $2950. this week. Check was sent to me FedEx and came from Donald Cowden Construction Co. 13081 State Hwy 20, Clearlake Oaks, CA. 95423. The name on the check is Ajax Paving Industries, Inc. 1957 Crooks Road Suite A, Troy, MI. 48084. Then instructions were im a letter stating to send information that I rec’d the check. That came from a text message. I’m questioning it all, the sender kept on about depositing the check, and to take my payment of $500. plus $50. for gas, and then to pay person that would come to put on decals, $2400. I had many questions that have gone unanswered, so I said no thanks, and asked them to cancel check. I have not deposited check nor would I. It seems as though it’s a scam and I rec’d a threatening text from another number this AM. Stating I’ve stolen their hard earned money! That text came from the following number: 870-249-2388. I’ve blocked both of these numbers, but will keep the communications from each. Geez, really don’t have time for all of this! Please let me know if you find out anything regarding these scammers. Thank you! ***** ********
