I was contacted by a person after applying for a job on ziprecruiter. I didn’t realize that I was being scammed till 2 days after the initial contact. They asked me to download google hangout for an interview. This in itself didn’t seem strange initially due to ********* The person I spoke to responded appropriately to my questions and passed me to the next level. I didn’t pick up on the scam till I received the check in the mail and it had a different company on it. I then suspended contact and reported the scam to the police.

I just had the exact same thing happen to me starting yesterday, this is the second time from a different company. I was just told about the check being sent to me about 30 minutes ago and started in on them. I will wait for the check and also contact the police. I'm sick of people doing this when there are people out there that have no choice but to work from home, not get scammed by pieces of crap.
