We have gotten multiple calls from a number in Attalla, AL. I finally answered and the person said their name is James Godwin and wants to examine my roof. He never gives the business name until pushed and then said 'Alabama Services'. I can't find anything that exists with this name. It's disturbing because they say they 'will be in the area tomorrow and want to come by and check my roof'. It feels like they are pushing to figure out if we'll be home or not. I've already told them I'm not interested but they continue to call back on a weekly basis.

This number calls my phone daily telling me they are with Alabama Services and that I've reported storm damage to my roof and they need to come check it out, etc. I do not have storm damage, nor have I EVER reported any, with anyone. I asked them to remove my number from his list, he kept talking. I asked louder for him to remove my number, he said "Why would you want to do that, I'm trying to fix your storm damage?" I said "DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN" and hung up. I am sure I will hear from them again tomorrow. I have tried to call the number back but it gives that fast busy signal as if it's not a working number.

I have been called on 3 different days by 3 different Hispanic men claiming to be with Alabama Services. They want to know if I still owe my home and want to come by and perform a 20 min assessment for roof damage. I keep telling them to stop calling, but won't. I asked how they got my number and one said City Hall and the other said public records. Phone numbers used to call have been 256-888-9210 and 256-805-2190

I got a call on my cell phone from a number purporting to be from my within my town. The caller had a heavy Hispanic accent and asked to speak to me by name. I asked who was calling. He said he was calling from Alabama Services and asked again if he was speaking to me by name? When I again asked what the call was regarding, he said again is this (and used my first name). The MOMENT I said the word "yes" he hung up on me. When I realized what I had done and tried to call the number back it comes back as having been disconnected. I now know that he was using that number fraudulently to mask where he really was calling from.
