I received an email from the contact form on my personal website asking if I did logo design. After getting back, the person sent a long email with all the details regarding the logo. The suspicious lines of the email were " My payment will be sent to you from a trusted contact person through my financial institution" and "I so much count on you and hope you understand what to do and will take care of this perfectly because I believe you're one of the best designers to deal with".

Yep, Albert Newson contacted me too via my website. Offered me $750 for a logo design. I suspected it was a scammer so I googled his email address and found the previous person's report on the ScamPulse.com scam tracker site.

Albert found my email through my online carbon made portfolio website and He wanted a logo for a website for car engine oil. He gave me details that he wanted and before I even started working on the logo he said he was going to send me my check in the mail since his finance team would be out of office this weekend. Asked for my name address and number and then I did some logo mock ups and her gave vague feedback, was more focused on the financials. He said he’s gonna send me more money than asked for since he wanted me to send the difference to the web designer because something about the web designer being blocked from receiving mail. And that’s when I got suspicious. Googled his email and I’m here now. Currently I’m out of the country so I can’t even get the check.
