I received a phone call and when I answered it was a man from the supposed Federal Reserve Treasury Department it was from New York he did give me his name but I forgot to write down his name was Andy Johnson they called the company American not company but the grant American Rescue plan and it was a grant that I did not have to pay back and that it was that I had to call New Yorks office at 253-245-1981 when I expressed some doubt about the legitimacy of this grant being awarded to me he then told me that of course they were not a scammer, and gave me a legitimate looking confirmation number and that I could receive my money from them Treasury Department via Western Union at Walmart or have it directly deposited to my bank account. I chose Walmart Western union. After I called this number that they said I needed to call to start the money transaction, and talk to that Andy johnson. I did write his name down. Not that that's his real name. And I expressed my doubt with him and I chose to change my mind and go ahead and have it put in my bank account after being on the phone with him for a few minutes and he was Consulting me and letting me know that it was legitimate. I'm not a naive person by no means, I don't get overtaken very often. I am very suspicious of things like this however I gave him my debit card information. And I what's been informed that I needed to go down and buy a certain card from Dollar General or Family Dollar it was a money card for $200 in order to start the money transaction. That's when the red flag went up, I told him I've never in my life heard of anyone having to pay $200 in order to get a government grant. And if they were not needing it and nobody else was needing it then why did I have to go have a $200 card paid for especially when they said that on top of the $9,000 Grant that they were supposedly awarding me, that they would tack on the $200 to the $9,000 they were giving it and they were giving it back to me well that made me even more suspicious because if you're going to give it back to me why take it in the first place. By that time I'd already been stand. My heart sun to my stomach and I became very nauseated and weak beware of this encounter avoid it like the plague
