Tried to cancel the service and we were told that we had to buy out of the contract. So we decided against canceling it and tried to get the issues we were having with the service resolved and they never were. We have been paying for the service for about 4 years but haven't been able to use it for 3 of those 4 years. When we called to try to get things resolved we agreed to have more equipment sent because we were under the impression that the replacement equipment would fix the problems and then we could just ride out to the end of our contract. The replacement equipment didn't do anything to resolve the issue. When i had to get a new card from another incident not related to this one it stopped the payments to Alder Security. Then we got a letter in the mail saying we would have to pay the 342 dollars over due or that we would have to pay 2468 dollars to buy out of the contract. When we called the number on that notice and asked about how the buy out could even be that high when we should have less than a year left the representative told us that when we got the replacement equipment sent to us that that automatically renewed our contract which we never agreed to.
