Alex Reports & Reviews (13)

A profile by the name of Alex contacted me on Facebook marketplace regarding an item I am selling. He/she asked me to text them if it's still available. I texted them and they wanted me to verify a 6 digit pin to verify that I am a real person. I did not fall for this and called them out on it. I am now reporting their used phone number and have blocked the number.

Received at least 10 calls within an hour. All different names but with same are code. I did not answer.

Person knew my first name and my used the used the identity of my son ti ask about storm and roof damage

Scammer sent text message to me, my brother and sister on the same day asking if this was the right number to connect with Mark (our father) so the he could purchase my parents' home. It smelled fishy to me, so I Googled the Scammer's number. Several other people received the same phishing scheme under the guise of "paying cash for your home." I also alerted my mom, and she said she's been receiving calls to the house stating the same. Thank God she never returned any of the calls. My mother was the intended target, but Scammer was going through her adult kids to find the weakest link for more information. None of us believed it and we all blocked the Scammer's number.

This person name Alex has been scamming and will not stop so can you tell to stop immediately.

I was contacted via Text Message by "Alex." Alex was interested in the vehicle that I am selling. I have it listed on both Facebook Marketplace, as well as, Craigslist. The conversation started like any transaction, ie, asking what repairs/issues I have had and fixed, the area I live in, etc. He told me that he was very interested in the truck and that he'd like to meet tomorrow at 1pm. I told him that the bank owned the lien, and that we could meet at the bank. I'll put the rest in script form: ALEX"alright, lets meet at 1p tomorrow..I will take a day off from work. I forgot to ask could you send me the PAR papers you can get as the owner?" ***: "PAR? are you referring to the maintenance paperwork?" ALEX: "Its the papers you can pull up as the owner online on premiumautoreport .com by the way I'm Alex, what's yours?" ***: "*** ***. However, I'll have to take a look at pulling the report from carfax. Do you have an email address I can send it to?" ALEX: "Nice to meet you *** I'm at work i'm waiting for you to send me the PAR Report so I can take time off work before I leave today. It would be better if you send both, cause I'm more familiar with the PAR report since I use it for my several vehicle when I bought it. Let me know when you're ready." ***: "Tell ya what, you grab teh PAR and I'll reimburse ya tomorrow." ALEX: "Look its not an unreasonable request to ask for the history of something you expect me to pay you thousands of dollars for...I'm not negotiating or haggling you. I will be taking time off work and paying someone to drive me down. Yours is the one I like most out of the three that I picked out. Let me know I'm ready to make a deal if you are..." From here I sent him a screenshot of a very similar conversation I found online and told him I was reporting his number.

Alex calls and asks for personal information such as last four digits of SS. He was told my Mom had just died a few hours earlier but he keeps calling. He kept calling during the days leading up to her death and until after. He called again today after having been blocked. He got around the block and came in as 0 on my cell phone. He has used several different phone numbers: 561-327-1083, 706-949-4572, 706-949-7459, and now 0.

Recently on September 12 -13th I had money scammed out of my Bank of America account for $1,984.62 from Cash App. I called there company for a refund of $100 in the beginning due to a false payment yet instead they took the rest of the money out of my account. $2,084.62 is the complete amount that I’ve lost. During this lost I was on the phone with an employee who had me doing routes to certain stores to purchase several google cards and I was told that this was normal and I was certain to get my money back until overall the chase never ended. It wasn’t until they tried to force me to call the police on a local cvs store that I realized that they were only doing this to attach this crime onto someone of innocence and take the rest of my money away. After this call I made several claims and called my bank to find a solution of refunding my money into my account and have met no justification. I’ve recently been told that this company has been scamming around and are not to be trusted as I clearly know now and am in need of immediate assistance. Also I have screenshots of my account right before the incident for proof.

Received a text and subsequent text conversation that went almost identical to what is described in this website: https://www.scam-detector.com/article/car-history-report-scam

The phone number i listed calls me daily to listen to my voice, and sits on the phone until i starts yelling then they hang up. Every so often they will leave a voicemail. the voicemail i received today was a guy who left a breift message that i could not understand, stating something about my taxes. Yesterday there was a recording of a young lady voice who said her name was Alex, she started to say what company she is with, then the recording stopped.

He said to collect prize I must pay 1% of tax first which is $300+. Sign a document and show a receipt from shopping. When I told him I would pay tax myself after I received money he hung up.
