An individual sent me text message in response to an ad I placed on Craigslist to sell my car. They sent a link to elitevincheck.com and requested I pull a history report and email them a copy. Instead of following the link, I choose to investigate the site first. I came across a news release on BBB.org regarding these types of scams. I deleted the texts, but the individual persisted and sent another text with a different website link. I hopes to get the email address again, I asked that they resend the initial messages but they have not. Below is a screenshot of additional messages.
