I responded to a rental posting for a house in Costa Mesa, they claimed that we could not see the house in person due to covid (also had a sob story about their son and two best friends being killed by covid). I sent them a rental application (like an [censored]) with my information on it. (Drivers license, DOB, No SS# though). Now they have dropped off the face of the earth and are not responding to my messages. Any help in tracking them down or preventing any fraud would be greatly appreciated.
