I asked for the link or a description of the position
“The positions available are Data Entry Data Entry / Client Success Specialist / Administrative Assistant / Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk / Management / Billing Representative & Medical Biller / Customer Service Associate / Human Resources Assistant - Manager / Document Processor / Executive Assistant / Admin- AP/AR Support & Administrative Assistant / Bookkeeper / Payroll Manager & Account Receivable Manager / Call Center Rep / Purchasing Assistant & Procurement Manager.
This is strictly an online interview and work-from-home based job, Mon-Fri Full time-9 am to 5 pm, Part-time-2 pm to 5 pm... Do you have a problem working from home for now?“
“You’d get to know more during the interview session.
Okay. Following the adopted method of online screening introduced by the ScamPulse.com in light of the Covid-19 (pandemic). Do you have any of these platforms; Skype chat, or Wire secure messenger, or Microsoft Teams, on your computer/smartphone. so we can proceed further with the interview session. “
“ Okay are you available on Microsoft Teams now to proceed with the interview? ”
I told him I wasn’t available at that time and could the interview be conducted on a different day.
We set up a meeting and then he said to let him know when I was ready to start the interview.
The interview appt was set for 2 days later and he texted me that morning and said he just wanted to remind me of the appointment.
He then sent me a link to open Microsoft teams for our meeting, but when I logged into it, I couldn’t get the chat room to open, so then we decided to try Skype. The video wouldn’t work and he said he would just conduct the interview with a secure AES encrypted chat/text and no video would be used. Once we got the conversation going, he gave me the list of the jobs available and that I could be paid $35/hour with $20/hour paid training. He mentioned an actual employee with a LinkedIn profile but no pictures or much details or posts. He described his background and years of experience- everything sounded good. He asked for me to talk about my history.
Then he asked me what positions I was interested in and gave a a detailed description of each of the jobs I was looking at, including the duties and responsibilities of each position, with the first paragraph of each job having almost identical qualifications as an employee of RHW. Once done with that, he said we were ready to go through the list of interview questions to answer.
At one point, I had to leave to pick up my kid and run to the store so he texted me and asked me to let him know when I returned to finish the interview. He had a real link to the real company that described their business and products/services.
He requoted the same information from earlier, and included the benefits and training plans.
“ This is strictly an online and work from home job the working hours are flexible and you can chose to work from anywhere of your choice, the pay is $35.00 per hour and training is $20.00 per hour and will be get payment bi weekly via direct deposit or paycheck and the maximum amount you can work a week is 45 hours., if you are employed you are going to be working as a full employee and not an independent contractor.
I believe working from home will not be a problem for you ?”
After ALL of this, he sent this message:
“ Alright here comes to the end of the interview questions... Well, you have done well so far and you seem like a qualified fit for this position...I need you to hold on online because need to forward our conversations and your answers to the Head Dept. to enable them see if you are committed and good for this job.
I need vou to hold back online for 30 minutes to an hour. Do not stay far away from the device you are logged on”
I had a strong feeling that I could be getting catfished, I started looking up information on him, the locations and people he mentioned, trying to find out if he was lying. The problem was he was so confused about why I was asking stuff and I sent him a screenshot of the LinkedIn profile connected with the supervisor he said, but he said he was hacked and that the IT department was supposed to fix it.
Finally he gave me an update with, “ Thanks for your time and patience
Okay. After due consideration and answers you provided during the interview session...”
And waited until I responded to tell me that they were going to offer me one of the positions I wanted.
He gave me the welcome spiel and asked me to take note of my new work ID#.
“ Before we go ahead, let me duly welcome you aboard our team.
On behalf of Restore Hyper
Wellness Company, we welcome you onboard and look forward to a gratifying working experience with you. Your employee id number is #2219824, note it down as you'll be needing it from time to time prior to when we get your ID card through to you within the coming week. I need you to follow the briefing and you can ask questions when I am through. You will get started with work soon and you will be contacted by your trainee supervisor to provide you with all the information needed to get started with work, you will also receive your employment form Monday morning and W4 form......”
“ You are cleared to proceed with the following appropriate step which is registering your HOL on our employee database so let's get this done right away. Confirm the following information which will serve as your -Home Office Location- and so your offer letter is drafted accordingly. This will serve as your registered workstation. Your full names, Home address including (state, city, zip code) you will be working from, email address and primary contact number. Do this now then we'll proceed with the following steps.
.. Let me know when you have finished reading and understanding every line. Okay?”
I asked him to just use the information from my resume. He texted me my name, address and email and I told him yes but the address was old because we had just moved. He made it sound like he was legit asking me to confirm that stuff. I had told him I made a mistake previously when applying for a similar job offer situation in my past. He was very sympathetic and considerate.
He continued on with the perks of working with the company and all the other things people are told when they’re first hired. ( Be aware, it gets lengthy)
“ One of the amazing perks of being an Restore Hyper Wellness employee is not just the new challenges it ushers, but the convenience and positive environment for personal and professional growth. The company is covering the full responsibility of providing you with the funding you need to get your working materials from our authorized retailers so you can start work so once you are cleared by the HR desk, I will apply for the release of your startup funding from the finance dept. and a check will be issued out to you for this purpose and will be delivered to your registered HOL address and then I'll guide you through your working materials order from our authorized retailer. You will be undergoing (2) Two week paid training and orientation which will commence as soon as you have all working materials and you are rest assured that you will be paid for
You will be getting your paperwork and HR document via email before the end of today, or first thing tomorrow you are to fill, sign and send back to us, we take out taxes...okay? Your funding serves to cover the cost of your working materials order, shipment fees, as well as your employee sign-on bonus.
Formerly, the company would process this order directly for all employees but looking into past records and as an impact of the covid-19 outbreak we found that it caused package exemptions and or delays in the delivery and the tracking info was always here and there due to tax release, health pass and authorization documentation that had to be signed off before shipments where then processed and readdressed so our board of directors amended this procedure whereby employees are now able to procure their working equipment directly from our retailers to ensure they are shipped directly to your home addresses without any hassle.

He explained more about the training:
“ We'll begin pre-training Monday
morning, It's importance is to make an assessment on how well an employee is able to follow instruction(s) to detail given the default instruction source (To prove an effective worker: less detailed instruction does not deter how well task is carried out). This serves to show that the employee possesses the technical know-how required for the position and test accounting accuracy and use of time. You are expected to firstly read through to understand all instruction (s) clearly and what is required of you from the task given if not feel free to ask me for assistance and I will put you through any misconstruction. Ok. You'll be given your unique employee user login and password which you'll be using to access our secure wed-servers and software suites pack that will be installed on your MacBook PC so you can communicate securely with all our teams and directors, both remote and in-office. Ok. Once we have your workstation set up by upper weekend your supervisor and I will connect with you through a three-way video conference and we'll assist you in setting up your personal work schedule so it is flexible yet favorable for you and for the company as well.”
I asked to delay my training for a week so I could get daycare and talk to my husband. He agreed.
“ Sure that's not a problem
We will be communicating through this platform and text message for the time being until we have your home office setup and fully functional and you receive your unique employee login and password which you will be using to gain access to the software suites that will be installed on our work PC and then we will be able to
communicate more securely via our secure mail servers and through virtual presence 2.0 respectively. Okay?”
He finished the conversation with a task.
“ You will be receiving your employment document via email tomorrow morning, I suppose
I've covered almost everything at this point. If you have any questions at this time please go ahead, you have my full attention.” I said I would think about it and ask tomorrow.
Then he texted me this “ Thanks for your understanding, and it's was a pleasure
That would be all for now. You are to report to me online tomorrow morning by 8AM your time for updates on the check, and how to get started with work, also notify me if you get the employment documents by the end of today”
BUT, he had a different persons name on the text and when I pointed it out, he said it was the name of the last employee he interviewed.
FYI, this interview went on from about 3:30 to almost 9:00, minus the break with my errands (about 45 minutes)
I talked to my husband about my concerns and I had taken screenshots of the whole conversation on Skype, so I had my husband read through and tell me what he thought.
He pointed out many of the issues he felt were related to scams and how to verify with this website. I’m so grateful to be able to share this information and help others.
