Once my shirt was ready, I decided to create an agreement to protect both of us, and on August 23rd, 2024, we signed it with no issues. After that, I paid the remaining balance in good faith. However, that's where things went wrong: the communication started breaking down immediately. Despite her promises, she didn't follow through on her word to post the content. After several ignored messages, she finally replied on October 2nd, stating she would post the content soon. That was the last I heard from her.
Frustrated, I contacted my bank to initiate a chargeback. But to my disappointment, my claim was denied. Alexxis had lied to the bank, stating that she had completed the service. Her lack of integrity in taking advantage of a small business is a warning to others. I wouldn't recommend working with her, and because of this experience, my company has now implemented a strict policy to never pay influencers until the work is completed and posted.
