Contacted via email by lupiata Oliver, I was told to download the Signal app and contact Mathieu Rousseau for information about the position. After a long well thought out interview they offered me a job... too easy.

They got my information from the Wyoming unemployment website.

Scam Job offer

I was contacted by someone pretending to be from Aliaxis saying they’d seen my resume on Alaskajobs.gov and I was qualified for the data entry position at $28.75 per hour working from home, it seemed perfect and then they sent a check for home office supplies $4809.33 to cover office supplies. They sent a check via FedEx. So I turned the scammer into the FBI, FTC and the BBB.

I was supposedly contacted using my resume on the state of Alaska's job website. The person then directed me to Frederic Leman who claimed to be an HR member, conducted an over-text interview, and then sent documents such as an I-9 / W4 / Cover Letter / Code of Conduct / Direct Deposit form. They then proceeded to tell me after I was deemed a fit for their job that they would be sending a check that I was to use to purchase equipment for use with this job since I would be stationed at home. At first, they emailed me and had me print out a check and attempt to mobile deposit it with my banking institution of choice. After finding out from said banking that it was sending up fraudulent flags, I assumed it could have been because it was printed. They then proceeded to send a second check that was a different amount, upon receiving I contacted the issuing bank regarding the check, but they were unable to find the said check. I have saved documents and screenshots of all the conversations had with the person and will be submitting this to the FBI as well.
