Total scam

I received a flyer in the mail from several companies at the same time saying that I could resolve my $5k in tax debt for a settlement of $550. Trying to get back on my feet after covid layoffs, I was at my wits end trying to figure out what to do. Allstate Tax Group got a hold of me, and eventually talked me into borrowing a loan for $1500 to pay a total of $2000 to them (had me stay on the phone to give the IRS POA and everything) ... after 4 years, I got a cold slap in the face and a confirmation that I had been totally scammed. Not only did they NOT file my taxes with the IRS, the balance is exactly the same as it was to begin with. One day I got a call saying my 'case was closed' and here it is almost 6 months later and there is still no information uploaded to IRS.gov. I want my $2000 back so I can apply it to my tax balance!
