He proceeded to review the area to put a quote together for a new driveway. After negotiating a fixed price to do so, he said he will bring a contract over on May 19, 2019 and collect a deposit. On that day, he did come over with a sketchy contract and I reluctantly gave him
a deposit of $1,200.00 Cash. On Monday May 20,2019 this person showed up with a helper and started to dig up my driveway by hand.
After finding out this was a difficult task, they left and have never returned! After 10 days passed, and no contacts, as well as not answering phone calls, I reported this scam to the local police department. An officer managed to reach the owner by phone. The owner claimed he would be back on site Monday June 3, 2019. Never happened! I am out $1,200.00 at this point, and my driveway is an embarrassing mess.
