I received a phone call from All American Education. The representative asked me for identifying information and used it to log into my Federal Student Aid profile. The representative then changed my login information "to confirm I was eligible for student loan forgiveness". At the time, it appeared and was presented as if the representative was logging into their own system, NOT my personal online account! I was then told that over 96% of my student loan debt would be forgiven if I made 5 payments of $195 and 240 monthly payments of $5 thereafter. When I tried to call the phone number back after hanging up the phone, the phone number (800) 831-5676 was disconnected.
