Type of a scam Online Purchase
Allebooksstore.com seems like it offers college students popular textbooks for very low prices. The website seems legit, and nothing tipped me off until after purchasing from the site. Instructions said the e-book would be available for immediate download, but this was not the case. I received an account confirmation, order confirmation, and everything to make the transaction seem legit. On the orders section of the website, it shows that my order is still "processing" even though it has posted to my credit card account as a Square payment to someone named Luis Miguel Mazas located at 1737 W GAGE AVE Los Angeles, CA.
I found the website through a search of the textbook on google and this website was one listed under the google store, so I was not suspicious as I have done similar things with success many times. Not to mention, the prices that the textbooks are listed for are cheap so someone scamming for $10-20 here and there did not even pop into my mind.
I have sent emails to the contact email on the site asking for a refund or the download link and have received no response. Luckily, I am able to dispute the charge with my bank and I will recover the amount.
