I received a text from a Gordon Conwell with Allegion Workspace on Thursday April 4h about an Administrative Assistant position and he stated that he found my resume on Ziprecruiter. That the position pays $25 an hour and asked if I was still looking for employment. I stated yes and he sent me an email with the job description. He said if I was still interested to let him know. So, he set up a phone interview for the next day. Friday the 5th and after the interview he stated I will hear back in 24 to 48 hours. On April 7th, he sent a text and email stating that I was selected for the position and welcomed me to the company. He also stated that I would get another email about the background check which I received, filled out and sent back. On Monday the 8th of April I received another text from him stating that I will be receiving the direct deposit form and that once it is filled out and sent back, I would hear from the accounting department. That they would send me an E-Check and that once it was deposited to let him know and they will inform me of where to use the money for the MacBook Pro and other equipment needed for the job. After I deposited the check, my bank stated a hold will be put on the check for a few days for lack of information. So, I started looking more into this position with this company and saw that some people had already reported this man to the ScamPulse.com and that it was a possible scam. I called my bank and immediately put a lien on my account. No funds had been taken from my account because I believe they were waiting on the check that I deposited to clear.
