i was offered a job administrative assistant Remote job with Allegion space 25.00 per hour and i realized after i signed and offer letter the fine print in it stated they could request money from the direct deposit banking information. Gordon Conwell Lead Recruiter from Allegion Work Space

A Gordon Conwell initially reached out to me via text message saying I applied for an Admin Asst position via Zip recruiter and asked me to confirm if I was still interested. He sent me a job description but it went to my spam box and then a woman with an accent called me from 978-646-4045 on Wednesday and asked me a few interview questions and said they would be in touch if they were interested. And then last night 4/4/24 at 9pm I received an offer letter and a form to complete a background check. But when I opened up the background form I noticed at the top how it was actually titled "Massage therapy client intake" so I got a 2nd opinion and then googled Gordon's name and I see its actually a theological seminary in Massachusetts.

I was contacted via text message by a supposed "HR manager," Anusha Thiyagarah, about interviewing for an admin assistant role- only a 15-min phone interview. I assumed it was a lead from Lazy Apply that I missed. I was sent 2 emails- job description & offer letter w/ background check form asking for sensitive info. I contacted the company, Allegion, she claimed to represent once I noticed some discrepancies and asked if this was consistent with their hiring process. Allegion Careers replied that this person is not representing them, and this is not part of their talent acquisition process.

Portrayed to be Recruiter, Anusha Thiyagarah, from Allegion HR interviewed me and then 2 days later offered me a job as Admin Asst direct hire, remote,$25.00 hour , sent employment confirmation offer letter, background information form, direct deposit banking form, Drivers license form. When she ask for my banking info she wanted to deposit money into my checking account with an echeck to cover cost of sending me and having a companys MacPro laptop to use. That is when I began to question why the needed to deposit money into my bank account for a company laptop. I called my bank and they immediately transferred me to fraud dept and they knew this was a fraudulent company portraying as a Company HR recruiting scam.

Remote administrative assistant position. I had a phone interview with them. The woman's name was Anusha Thiyagarah, although the original email was sent from Gordon Brown. I didn't not give them any information that would damage my personal well-being. They already had my info that was on my resume.
